Business Development Manager – Defence Sector
Defcon Technologies has a unique Business Development opportunity for suitably qualified candidates who want to further their career in the field of Defence Electronics, Radio Communications and emerging technologies.
Following recent project wins in Defence and related government areas, the company is keen to maintain its momentum and capitalise on upcoming opportunities, seeking a professional with the right mix of knowledge, skills and enthusiasm.
We need someone with a passion for creating opportunities, negotiating ‘win-win’ outcomes and managing projects and supply partners. You might also be able to utilise your own contacts within related industries to expand the portfolio.
The role is responsible for marketing and capture, through delivery, sustainment, upgrades and beyond. Your knowledge of Defence engagement, approach to market and capability acquisition, will be combined with a tenacious ‘can-do’ approach and passion for problem-solving.
You will engage and negotiate at all levels within the customer base and across international supply chains, and be comfortable networking with senior government officials and resolving complex technical challenges with engineers and technicians.
An organised, dynamic communicator who can develop strong rapport with stakeholders, and who enjoys networking and technology with equal vigour, you will have experience working in a similar field, be ‘tech-savvy’ and enjoy the challenges of opening new business doors.
The position requires Australian Citizenship and a current NV1 security clearance is desirable but not essential to secure the role, though you will need to be eligible.
